One of the great hitters of his day, Jessop (1874-1955) was nicknamed the "Croucher" for his stooped stance. In 1902 he hit a whirlwind 104 in 75 minutes to win the Oval Test for England in thrilling style. This classic work covers his days with Gloucestershire (from 1894), Cambridge University, Gents v Players and England.
