Handwritten letter from Albert Freethy to J.G.B. "Bryn" Thomas, dated April 28th 1954, regarding his intention to run for the Vice Presidency of the WRU. Freethy had been a well-known rugby referee and had famously sent of Cyril Brownlie during the England v New Zealand Test of 1924 - the first time that this had happened. Freethy also had a brief cricket career, playing three matches for Glamorgan in 1921. Bryn Thomas was a well-known rugby journalist and author.

Two sides of one sheet, nicely signed by Freethy as "Albert". Very good condition.
