ATHLETIC NEWS FOOTBALL ANNUAL 1896

This annual is known as the Wisden of football. It lasted from 1887 to 1945-46, at which point it was incorporated into the Sunday Chronicle Football Annual. Pre-1914 editions are scarce.

Paperback. Tenth year of issue, covering the 1895-96 season. 12mo. 224pp. 2 plates comprising a total of 9 cameo portraits. Original printed wrappers, lightly rubbed with the occasional crease and a 2cm chip to lower spine. Good condition. [Seddon, J60]
