JAMES LILLYWHITE'S CRICKETERS' ANNUAL FOR 1884

Edited by Charles Alcock. Thirteenth year of issue, covering the 1883 season. Known as the "Red Lilly", this annual was the last of three annuals published by the Lillywhites, the others being the Companion and the Guide. It lasted for 29 editions between 1872 and 1900, with two issues of 1872. From 1885 onwards the Annual incorporated John Lillywhite's Cricketer's Companion.

Small 8vo. [xxiv} + 256pp + [2] + 2-20 + [1]. Original orange printed cloth covers, a little wrinkled with original owner's name to front. Plate of the Surrey XI in 1883 tipped-in opposite the title-page. Good condition.
