Between 1928 and 1948 Alfred Gover (1908-2001) was a whole-hearted fast bowler for Surrey and occasionally England. He then spent the next 40 years as a coach at his cricket "clinic" in south west London. At the time of this death, aged 93, he was the oldest living Test cricketer.
