M.C.C. V AUSTRALIA 1934 CRICKET PHOTOGRAPH - CHAPMAN & HENDREN

Original Press photograph of Chapman leading the M.C.C. team onto the field during the match against the touring Australian s in May 1934. It is particularly noteworthy that Hendren, the only professional in the team, is walking alongside Chapman - a Press cutting, using this exact photograph, is pasted to reverse, in which it states that Hendren had previously had to walk alone from the professionals' gate but that Chapman had now made a point of walking out with him from the amateurs' gate.

12 x 17cm. Tip of one corner knocked off. Very good condition.
