Includes a history of the game from 1871, chapters on varsity, school, club and international rugby, plus directions for how to play each aspect of the game. First edition. Small 8vo. xv + 296pp. Portrait frontis. (the author), 11 plates. Blue cloth, title in gilt lettering to front and spine. Rubbing to ends of spine. Front gutter is a little exposed but binding holding well. Library plate to front paste-down. A good copy of a rare book.
