Oval, Sept 14 - 18, 1929. Rest of England won by 8 runs. In one of the best ever matches between the Champion County and the Rest, the bowling of Robins (6 for 89 and 9 wickets in the match) secured a narrow victory. Woolley made a hundred for the Rest - Sandham, Wyatt, Hobbs and Leyland hit fifties.
