STADE BORDELAIS V NORTHUMBERLAND COUNTY XV 1911 RUGBY POSTCARD

In 1911 Stade Bordelais were the French rugby champions, the last time in their history. The origin of this postard is unclear but it is possible that Stade Bordelais toured Northumberland in 1911 and played the County side. The French team included some of the great names of early French rugby.

Cameo portraits of the Stade Bordelais team with their names beneath. The card is grubby with a number of light creases and has not been posted. Fair/good condition.
