David Stuart Sheppard (1929-2005) was a Cambridge cricket blue (1950, 51, 52) and a captain of Sussex and England. He played in 22 Tests. In 1955 he was ordained into the Roman Catholic Church and later became Bishop of Woolwich and then Bishop of Liverpool.

8vo. xii + 356pp. 16 pages of photographs. Dust-wrapper, spine faded. Good condition.
