Alfred Henry Padgham (1906-66) was a leading British pro in the 1930s and 1940s. He won the 1936 British Open at Hoylake having finished second and third the two previous years. He was a member of Great Britain's Ryder Cup team in 1933, 1935 and 1937. A tall and lanky fellow with an ungainly style he was, at times, a brilliant putter. For many years he was the pro at Sundridge Park.
