Football book. Moynihan's seminal 1966 work on football, including classic essays on Stamford Bridge, Craven Cottage, Goodison Park, Griffin Park (Brentford), The Matthews Final, Pele, Plainmoor (Torquay), County Ground (Northampton).

8vo. 203pp. 8 pages of photographs. Ex-library with residue of label to fly-leaf and some old tape marks to endpapers. Title-page removed. Dust-wrapper, very good. Gift inscription from Moynihan to his fellow sports journalist and friend Frank Keating to fly-leaf. Keating has marked a couple of passages in the text (to margin) as he probably used the book for reference.
