An account of the 1954-55 England cricket tour of Australia under Len Hutton, England's first attempt at defending the urn which they had won in 1953.

8vo. 207pp. Frontispiece, 14 pages of b/w photographs. Dust-wrapper, lightly rubbed. Signed to the half-title page by the full England team that played the first Test against South Africa at Trent Bridge in 1955 (with hand-written title) - Kenyon, May, Wardle, Statham, Graveney, Compton, Tyson, Appleyard, Evans, Bailey and Barrington. Nine of these went on the Ashes tour the previous winter. Also signed to photographic illustrations by Hutton (twice), Alec Bedser, Ian Johnson, Richie Benaud, Evans and Statham.
