WALTER HAMMOND

Cricket biography of Walter Reginald Hammond (1903-65), scorer of 22 centuries for England, over 50,000 first-class runs,mostly for Gloucestershire. He is the only player to have twice scored double centuries in consecutive Test matches. At his peak he was second only to Bradman as the finest player in the world.
