Boxing postcard by Harlip of German heavyweight Walter Neusel. Signed in ink by Neusel across the front. 

Often overshadowed by Max Schmeling, Neusel, nicknamed "the Blonde Tiger" beat a number of top contenders to establish himself as a force in the heavyweight division in the 1930s.

Neusel became a focus of an ideological battle/boxing match when he challenged Tommy Farr in London. After a brutal fight Farr defeated Neusel and effectively ended his hopes of ever fighting for a World title. 

9.7 x 14.5cm. Monochrome photograph with white borders, printed legend to lower part of photograph. Postally unused. In fine condition.
